Fight Hunger and Promote Environmental Stewardship

Maybe you already have filled your deer tags for the season, but when you brought your processed deer home you discovered it’s going to be really hard to squeeze anything more into your freezer. It still has game meat from previous trips. What do you do with the extra venison?

Hunters for the Hungry has provided over nine million servings of venison to Texans in need. Through the program, hunters can donate legally tagged, field-dressed deer at participating meat processors. The processors prepare the venison for distribution to local hunger relief agencies like food banks and food pantries. Here's how you can help:

Bring your legally tagged, field-dressed white tail or mule deer to a participating meat processor.
