Fishing Report from TPWD (May 5)

FAIR. Water clear; 67 degrees; 0.29’ low. Largemouth bass are good with emerging topwater. Use worms and small crankbaits with rocks being first and drops being second. Crappie are fair on jigs using boat docks and along the shady side of cliffs in the afternoons. White bass are fair on Alabama rigs still working deep around 16-18 feet. Striped bass are slow. Catfish are good on cut bait, live sunfish, and stinkbait.
