Possum Kingdom Lake Fishing Report from TPWD (Oct. 21)

GOOD. Water clear; 68 degrees; 0.31’ low. Black bass are fair with rocks and steep rocky canyon banks, providing the best habitat, especially in warm afternoons with lower wind conditions. Soft plastic worms are consistently the best bait, along with jigs, crankbaits, and spinners. White bass are good working below black bass. Crappie are good with jigs during the day and minnows at night, primarily on docks. Striped bass remain slow with some increased activity mid-lake. Catfish are good on cut shad, dough balls, and stinkbait, increasing at night over quarks.
