Fishing Report from TPWD (May 31)

GOOD. Water clear; 76-80 degrees; 4.07 feet below pool. Striped bass are good on live bait, but can be caught trolling with white, chartreuse, or yellow artificials in 20-40 feet of water. The fish are scattered some after the increased boater traffic of the holiday weekend, but still catching good numbers. Sand bass are fair on small live bait and jigs in 10-30 feet of water. Fish are moving fast and not staying in one place long. Catfish are feeding where the water is coming into the lake. Catfish are biting good on cut and live shad fished on bottom in 10-20 feet of water. Water clarity is 3-14 feet depending on location. Report by TJ Ranft, Ranft Guide Service.
