Lake Godstone was built over a seven month time period in 2016 and now the 40 foot deep lake features a 35-person lodge, cabins, a guest home, sports fields, mountain bike trails, seven docks, canoe, kayak and pedal boat rentals, UTV and Golf Cart rentals, and two fishing ponds above and below Lake Godstone.

Fishing Report from TPWD (Nov. 29)

FAIR. Water clear; 58-63 degrees; 1.63 feet below pool. Striper are great and live bait is still the key to success. The fish are slightly scattered, but starting to school up but moving quickly in 20-40 feet of water. Sand bass are fair to good using small live shad, small jigs and slabs, and some can also be caught trolling crankbaits that dive 10-15 feet in 20-40 feet of water. White is a good go to color for lure with the occasional silver or chartreuse. Catfish are good using cut and live shad in 2-15 feet of water. Some can be caught using jug lines on cut shad. Water clarity is steady at 4-10 feet of visibility. Report by TJ Ranft, Ranft Guide Service. Striped bass are good to 13 pounds on soft plastics fished from Hells Gate or Hogs Bend to Broadway.
